Products & Services

HOSOKAWA ALPINE blown film lines with the patented X-Die technology for multi-layer films with 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 layers are currently the most advanced on the market in terms of innovation and technology. The lines are characterized in particular by their flexible, economical and reliable operation. Benefits of our multi-layer lines:

  • Very short changeover times between different materials;
  • Lower product costs;
  • High output;
  • Flexible production;
9 / 11 Layer lines

Produce High-Barrier Films on HOSOKAWA ALPINE machines! Multi-layer flexible packaging films are in demand around the globe and require speciality barrier
extrusion lines. These products prevent the permeation of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water vapor.
They also protect the aromas and flavors of the finished product. Produce on 7-, 9- or 11- layer lines – the more layers the more options for you to engineer and tailor your film products, while saving raw material costs.

Machine Direction Orientation MDO

Whether you want to produce diaper back sheets, laminating film or twist film this is the perfect solution. Less trim waste and improved film flatness for the MDO inline stretching process. The patented TRIO system optimizes the film thickness profile in-line. The result: minimum thickness variation across the entire layflat width also edge trim is reduced by up to 50%, while the film flatness is greatly improved for converting.

News & Innovations

Hosokawa Alpine presents high-performance extruder
The new, powerful HX Select series extruder is ideally suited for processing materials such as LLDPE, mLLDPE and PCR (Post Customer Recycled) and bioplastics. With an energy saving of up to 20 per cent versus standard
grooved barrel extruders and an up to 50 per higher melt performance, the HX Select ensures more efficient film production. This is made possible by an innovative cylinder and screw design. The effective mixing principle allows a low mass temperature, thus achieving optimum melt uniformity. Further reading
Hosokawa Alpine latest-generation cooling system
Hosokawa Alpine has developed a high-efficiency cooling system for blown film extrusion. The system, developed from scratch, consists of the Alpine CRX cooling ring series for outer cooling and the Alpine HT cooling tower for inner cooling.

Energy-efficient cooling ring for outer cooling.

The cooling ring is a key factor in energy-efficient film production. For the Alpine CRX series, we opted for a low counterpressure system. This allows us to make more efficient use of the available cooling capacity and increase line throughput. Further reading
Hosokawa Alpine AG presents innovation for film orientation lines
Hosokawa Alpine AG presents a further development of the Machine Direction Orientation (MDO) technology. The new vacuum technology from the Augsburg machine and plant manufacturer optimises the production of high-performance oriented films. The new generation of Alpine's MDO lines is equipped with a vacuum roll which optimises the production of high-quality oriented film. More This will significantly improve the production of fully recyclable mono-material films and contribute to the packaging solutions of the future. Further reading
